Seri Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

cornyLabs ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Seri app and related services ("Service"). By installing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If we discover that a user is under 14, we will delete the account immediately.

2. Account

Your account is automatically created based on your device ID when you first launch the app. No separate sign-up is required. Because your account is tied to your device, switching to a new device will reset your account and data. We are not responsible for data loss due to device changes.

3. The Service

Seri provides the following features:

  • Social Network Visualization: Maps your mutual connections based on your contacts.
  • Connection Path Search: Finds how you are connected to someone through up to 6 degrees of separation.
  • Keyword Matching: Lets you discover users with similar interests based on registered keywords.
  • Real-Time Chat: 1:1 messaging with connected users.
  • Push Notifications: Alerts for new connections, messages, and other events.
  • Customer Support: AI-assisted and operator responses to inquiries.

We aim to provide the Service 24/7 but may suspend it temporarily for maintenance, emergencies, or reasons beyond our control. We will notify you in advance when possible.

4. Connections

A "connection" is established only when both users have saved each other's phone numbers in their contacts and synced those contacts with the Service. One-sided contact saving does not create a connection.

Non-users (people who have not installed Seri) will not appear as intermediate nodes in connection path searches. They may appear as the final node only if a user directly searches for their phone number.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create (keywords, messages, profile info). By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content solely for operating and improving the Service.

You are responsible for your content. You may not post or send content that:

  • Harasses, threatens, or defames others
  • Contains pornographic or violent material
  • Is spam, advertising, or phishing
  • Collects others' personal information without consent
  • Violates any applicable law

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Use the Service for stalking, fraud, or any illegal purpose
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or make unauthorized API calls
  • Use others' information obtained through the Service for any purpose outside the Service
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without our prior written consent

7. Pricing

The core features of the Service are currently free. We may introduce premium features (subscriptions, in-app purchases) in the future and will notify you in advance. Payments and refunds for paid features are governed by the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) policies.

8. Intellectual Property

All Company-created content in the Service (design, logos, software, etc.) is owned by us. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.

9. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Your phone number is encrypted (HMAC + AES-256-GCM) and the original is never stored in plain text.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings menu. Upon deletion, all your data (profile, keywords, messages, connections) is immediately and permanently deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these Terms. You may appeal a suspension by contacting us through the in-app support menu.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of connection search results, as they depend on each user's contact sync status.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR $10 USD IF YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS).

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes that are materially adverse to you). Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent court having jurisdiction over our principal place of business.
